Book Review: Deceived

Hunter 'Cid' Reed, Sargent at arms for his Club, Disciples of Hell is, as he himself puts it, one 'dirty bastard.' He lives like a rockstar, a different girl every night, while empty liquor bottles and drugs light up his evenings. He doesn't need or want for an 'old lady'. 'That shit was for fairytales and he didn't live in a fucking book.'
With his mom gone, he just knows life is about to kick him in a way he'd never imagined. Especially since his relationship with his father wasn't one to really envy. To say his old man hated him was a colossal understatement but now he seems to want to make Cid's life the epitome of a living hell.
The only highlight in the mess Cid finds himself suddenly thrown into, is a gorgeous doctor who ends up patching him up during his hospital stints. Jenny is different and somehow gets under Cid's skin like no other woman ever did, until she becomes an unwelcome obsession. One that has Cid literally howling because he doesn't know 'whether to come or cry.' How this particular feat is carried out, I'll leave that for you to find out. But it's sure to make you at least smile.
But things are never simple and a biker's life is always on the edge, especially when he pisses off the wrong people. And Cid seems to have a talent for doing just that. Because his sexy doctor seems to hang out with all the wrong people and even if she isn't involved in any shady stuff, she's bound to not settle for the likes of Cid. That little detail however is not one Cid would care much about. 'It didn't even matter that she didn't know it yet, but he knew. Jenny McKinley was going to fall head over heels for him and wouldn't want another man for as long as she lived.' Stubborn much? You'd think! :D
A huge storm is coming and heading right for those that Cid cares about most. Caught smack down in the middle, deceived and on the verge of losing the only family he had ever had, Cid is left with two single options, ride or die. But some things are worth dying for, and Cid is determined to NOT go down without a fight.
Dark, dirty and brutal, just as a great MC romance should be, Deceived is one of those books that will grab you by the scruff of your neck and take you for a wild ride. Raw pain and gentle possessiveness, dirty sex and sweet love, as well as emotions that leap from the page - this book has it all. This badass biker and his sweet little angel will have you rooting for them in no time.
I flew through the pages and am now eager for a sequel.
