Agent: Undone by Reyne, Cassidy

My rating: 5 dark and smoking stars

Dark, dirty and smoking hot!

This is one of those books that will tear your heart out, shatter it into tiny little pieces, stomp on them for good measure and then gently gather them back up and put them back together again.

The blurb will give you a fairly good idea of what it is about but it will not tell you how the story will make you FEEL.

I bit my nails, got angry, cried and smiled through tears. Which very rarely happens, in this particular combination, while reading a book.

Agent: Undone got to me. Because this writer is ruthless. She will drag her characters through the deepest pits of hell. She will torment them and make them suffer and she will make you FEEL their anguish, sorrow and despair.
I know I did! And I loved every damn minute of it.

Cassidy Reyne gives you here the story of two broken souls: DEA Agent Carter and trafficking/abuse victim Madison. Both scarred and haunted by ghosts of the past, they will have to face and vanquish.

This is not a beautiful love story but an ugly, rough and violent tale of love and survival.

Madison will literally go through her own personal hell. While Carter will have to battle his own demons to be able to help her. I admit, I wanted to wring his neck at times because damn! That man can be an ass. And yet, I couldn't really blame him.... that much.

This dark romantic suspense novel is not for the faint of heart. Because it shows you society's darkest side. From violence to drug abuse and depravity at the lowest level. And it shows you, at a very personal level what all of this does to the victims. No coddling or beating around the bush. Straight out with all the dark and gruesome details included.

Fast-paced and intriguing, with downright real seeming characters, gripping suspense and smoking hot scenes, Agent:Undone is a must read for all dark romance fans out there.

But make sure you have some tissues handy when settling down with it.
You're gonna need them!
