A Dragon's Heart-to-Heart with a Book Hero - Scion Prime Samael Fahd from The Power of Conviction by Catrin Russell

Hi everyone, I am Jeff. Jeff The Bookdragon, Guardian of The Magic Book Corner.

Welcome to my den and my feature.

A Dragon's Heart-to-Heart with a Book Hero

(I even have a hashtag with those little smiley thingies: #AšŸ‰sšŸ§”tošŸ§”withašŸ“šHero )

Today you're going to meet

Scion Prime Samael Fahd

- the shifter demon from The Power of Conviction by Catrin Russell.

I timed it to the village of Fahd, within the pages of The Power of Conviction, in search for this book hero. And found him brooding by the bank of a river. It took little to no convincing to get him over to my den. And here is our little Heart-to-Heart:

Jeff: - 'Welcome to my den Samael. And do tell our readers a little bit about yourself. You are the star of the Prime Series after all.'

Samael: 'What?'

Jeff: 'You are the one the readers rave about. So go ahead and tell them something about yourself.'

Samael's brow lowers. 'Fine. My name is Protector Prime Samael Fahd, and I am a Panther demon. Protector Jeff, not Scion. Not if I can help it. My mother is the Matriarch of our tribe. I like being left on my own. And I hate questions.'

*Jeff pretends to not have heard the last comment and goes on with the questions:

'As a shifter demon, you have 2 forms: a human form and a demon form - that of a panther. Which one is more natural for you?'

Samael: 'Any demon would say their human form. Everyone knows that. Transforming is not as easy as it looks.'

Jeff: In which form are you the strongest? And which do you prefer?''

Samael: 'Depends what you mean. My demonic form is stronger, but it has its limitations, purely due to my size. I only shapeshift when I have to, or when I travel. And trust me, my human form is strong enough.'

Jef: 'The Priesthood says your kind are an abomination and must be killed on sight. What do you say to that?'

Samael: They know nothing of demons. Their preachings and beliefs are ridiculous at best."

Jeff: 'And how do you feel about the Priesthood?'

Samael: 'Feelings don't suit me. The same goes for the Priesthood. I care nothing for them and they can do nothing to affect me.'

Jeff: 'You have even your own kind cowering in fear at a mere glance. Why is that?

Samael: 'As I said, I am more than strong enough in human form. They cannot handle my aura. Not my problem.'

Jeff: 'But the little priestess - Anaya - she isn't afraid to look you straight into the eyes. And she even dunked you in a lake once isn't it?'

Samael: 'Pft. She tricked me once. It won't happen again.'

Jeff: What do you think about Anaya?

Samael: 'Think about her? I don't- No, I don't think about her. She is merely entertainment, that is all. Next question.'

*Jeff snorts* 'Your mother wants to get you married right? But you sort of run off with your tail between your legs every time the topic arises. Why? Don't you want to find a nice demon lady to call your own?

As a little side note, your mother, Matriarch Lilith, wants to know the answer to this question here my friend. And I promised her I'll ask.

Now stop growling!!!'

Samael: 'Fine! First of all, my mother should mind her own business. And second, I do not run away with my tail between my legs! I just have no interest in women. I would rather live on my own. Preferably far away from everyone and everything.'

Jeff: I know you're in a hurry to get back but one last question. Tell the readers here why your story is so awesome. What are your favorite parts?

Samael smirks. 'The priestess is intriguing, I suppose. She offers entertainment - even when she pushed me into the lake. I think I will keep her around for a while still. She is incredibly fun to provoke.'

Jeff gets ready to take his guest back to the pages of his series, with a little apologetic note to his readers.

You will have to excuse my friend here. He may come off as a little snarly, but he really is a good feline. Once you'll get to know him better you will see. Just remember not to tell him that he's purring. That always gets his tail in knots.
