Book Review: A Very Sci-Fi Christmas

for a light, funny and absolutely adorable Christmas read! A little spicy too, since it's got a few pretty hot scenes! And with a 'just-right' dose of angst to keep you at the edge of the seat. But overall, as sweet and cuddly as it gets!

Jar, a resident of the planet Hwaran, falls into a wormhole that drops him in the bathroom of a beautiful Earth woman. All because he was staring at a little Christmas decoration and thinking about his heart's greatest desire. To help the only family he has be happy again by bringing his sister-in-law and her children back together.
His sister-in-law and her children were from Earth, while Jar and his brother from a completely different solar system. And no one knew the way from one planet to another. Until the wormhole unexpectedly pulled Jar in.

Now Jar has a chance to not only find the missing children, but also fulfill his greatest heart desire. One that has nothing to do with his sister in law but everything to do with Jar's own happiness.
But first, Jar must convince the beautiful Earth female, whose bathroom he invaded, that he was neither there to abduct her, nor a pervert planning to harm her. Not an easy task when threatened by a terrifying creature called "Peaches"! A small orange animal with four thin legs, standing on a bed and growling, while showing white teeth.
I for one burst out laughing at Jar's reaction to the 'BEAST'! And I bet you'll also will find it hard keeping a straight face.

But back to the plot because I digress, Holly - the woman who suddenly found a curiously looking alien inside her locked bathroom - had no need for an extra complication in her life. Her ex-boyfriend is stalking her, charging up credit cards in her name, and threatening her. She can't even enjoy running her business because her employee is one of the women he cheated on her with.

When she steps out from her shower to see a sexy alien who says he needs her help, she decides, "Why not?" It can't get any fucking worse. That may be after throwing whatever she could grab straight at his head but let's be honest... who wouldn't?! :D

This is how their adventure begins, just a few days before Christmas, and neither of them realizes that their greatest wish was about to be granted. Not the one they wished for, but the one they needed.

Fast-paced and beautifully flowing, this Christmas tale is a wonderful mix of fun, feeling, spice and heartache; with a special topping of cuddle and feel-good moments.

Loneliness and longing, kindness and gentleness, passion and desire - we get to fell them all with Jar and Holly. They are so nicely developed and so great together!! Their dynamic is fabulous.

Things may happen at just the right moment, and twists may not be quite as unexpected, but this is a Christmas miracle book after all. One about happiness found and wishes coming true in the most unexpected ways.
One that will have you smiling more often than once and leave you with that warm and cuddly feeling typical to an enchanted tale.

A Very Sci-Fi Christmas is a great Christmas romance full of heart, passion, fun and feeling. And I highly recommend it to all dreamers out there.

18+ mind you, because of those spicy scenes! :D
