Best of Angels and Demons

 - there are so many books where Angels and Demons are featured, but we rarely see any "best of lists" about them.

Everybody loves Angels! They are pure and beautiful and awe-inspiring! That is when they don't want to smite in anger the puny humans who dare to summon them, or destroy humanity as a whole! :D And even then, they do not loose their beauty and charm.

Demons on the other hand....

"Do you have any favorite angel?" would be ok to ask someone. But "Do you have any favorite demon?" does seem to sound a teensy bit odd! And yet, most of us have come across a few demons that popped out of the pages of a book or another; demons we remember fondly and perhaps we'd even chance a friendship with, if allowed to. :)

I can honestly say I would love to be taken under the wing of one or two demons. Who these are, as well as their angelic "best of" counterparts are listed below.

Do let me know please if you like them too. Or perhaps you have other favorites? In that case drop a comment below and let me know, so I can check them out.

1. The first place on My Best of Angels and Demons List belongs to Saetan SaDiablo

No! Not Daemon! Saetan! From Anne Bishop's famous Black Jewels series.

Saetan Daemon SaDiablo (pronounced "Say-tan"), also known as the High Lord of Hell and the High Priest of the Hourglass, is the patriarch of the SaDiablo family. He is a Hayllian Black Jeweled Warlord Prince and the first male Black Widow in Blood history.

The father of Daemon Sadi and Lucivar Yaslana, Uncle Saetan, as he is referred to by those close to him, is one of the most remarkable, complex and outstanding demon characters I have ever read about. His fierce love for his children combines with a vicious ruthlessness in enforcing justice and a touch of fear of his old cook who despite being a plain older woman, doesn't back down from shouting at him. So yeah! I admit I'd love to be taken under his wing!

2. Sebastian - From Anne Bishop's Ephemera Series - to him belongs the second place

Half-incubus, Sebastian is the bastard child of a succubus and a wizard. Living in the 'Den of Iniquity', a 'carnal carnival' filled with gambling, drinking, prostitution and demons, Sebastian is nothing like the mean badass demon he is supposed to be. On the contrary, I would venture in saying he is a big ol' softie who just yearns for love, acceptance, and a normal human life.

Now I'm not saying Sebastian doesn't kick ass! Because he does! Though only when bad guys are involved. So absolutely yes! I'd love to have him as my BFF! :D

3. Samael - From Catrin Russel's Prime Series - to him belongs the third place.

Scion Prime Samael Fahd of the Panther Tribe, is a shifter demon who turns into a big black panther and acts as both protector and justice enforcer to all within the Panther tribe's boundaries. Feared even by the toughest of demons because of his unusual strength and viciousness when provoked, Samael is generally given a wide berth by everyone around him and is resigned to an existence empty of feelings.

His broody attitude quick temper and snarling habit keep even the toughest demons at bay and Samael is perfectly ok with that. Until the day he meets a confounded Priestess of the Light. A mere slip of a girl who not only doesn't fear him, but even dares to challenge.

And lo and behold! As it turns out, the big bad fearsome demon can even be a playful kitty! I just love his broody tough guy personality mixed in with so much of playfulness, tenderness and shyness whenever he's with his girl! Not to mention anything about him also being kind of finger-licking-good sexy!!! Because My-Oh-My! Just look at that picture ladies!!! He's so hot!

And let us not discount his panther form! Look at the big bad kitty!

I'd really love to get a ride on that magnificent beast. Just make sure to remember - he DOES NOT purr! :D

A sexy kick-ass demons who snarls and beats the crap out of everyone who crosses both him and those he holds dear, fiercely protective of his loved ones and so incredibly gentle and tender with his girl... this one may be number 3 on my Best of Demons List, but he holds the first place on my Book Boyfriend Top Ten. I simply just love him!
