Warriors, Wizards, & Rogues: Tales of Swords & Sorcery by Kohanek, Jeffrey L.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

3 fantastic little tales that provide a little more background to three of the characters from the Wizardoms Series.

Fun, fast paced and full of adventure, just like everything else this author writes.

A Warrior's Curse unfolds twenty years before the Fate of Wizardoms epic and shows us Brogan Reisner as a young warrior, assigned as personal protector to the crown prince of Pallanar His tale is lough out loud funny at times and heartbreaking at others. And exactly what I had expected after meeting him in Balance of Magic.

Wizard University shows us Princess Narine and her arrival at the Wizard University in Tiadd. Alongside her bodyguard Adyn of course. One is to train as a master wizardess, the other to hone her combat abilities.
But Nadine is not like every other wizard there and this little short story will let you know why exactly certain people seem to either hate or fear her later on.

And
Legend of Shadowmar will give you the mighty Jerrell Landish. Young and arrogant but also very good at his job, which happens to be that of a thief, Jerrell jumps upon the opportunity of a lifetime. Get rich beyond measure for simply doing what he does best.
Teamed with a mighty warrior, whose name I will not let slip, he embarks on a quest to retrieve a certain very important object, that you will meet later on, in Eye of Obscurance

His mission: Locate a legendary castle, defeat the guardian protecting it, and obtain the hidden treasure. But this time around the legendary thief might have bitten off a tiny bit more than he can chew. Both as far as the quest is concerned, as well as the treasure he seeks to claim.

For readers of the Wizardoms Series, this little box set is a wonderful addition providing a deeper insight into characters readers have already grown to love.

For those who haven't yet read any of this author's books, this set is the perfect intro, giving you a glimpse into both world as well as writing style.
Fun, fast paced and full of adventure!
