Book Review: Prince of Stars, Son of Fate

A great end to a fabulous duology.



It's hard to write a review for a second in series without spoiling so I'll keep mine short.

This second instalment in The Ice and Fate duology is even more darker and intense than the first.
The pace is upped and suspense is thrilling while the characters need to face even harder challenges, with stakes higher than ever before.
My heart broke for Kay and Olyn was such a sweetheart!! I came to love them both so much!! Arynne on the other hand, I didn't like quite as much anymore. Her readiness to kill to achieve her purpose somewhat diminished her in my eyes. The villains were positively horrific and the dark magic downright chilling. And don't even let me get started on the wringer poor Kay is put through!! Absolutely heart-breaking!!

Fabulous worldbuilding and an out-of-this-world plot, wonderfully fleshed out characters with a great dynamic and feelings that leap from the page. Realistic family relationships and a brilliant insight into mental/emotional health topped by a love strong enough to melt the hardest heart. This book has it all and more!

I absolutely adored it and highly recommend it to all romantic fantasy fans out there.
