Christmas Again by Young D, Tiffany

My rating: 5 special stars

for a wonderful short story that will tell you about loss, pain and sorrow, as well as survival, healing and love.

Christopher has lost his wife and is now raising his four-year-old daughter by himself. Not because he doesn't have family around him, who would be willing to help, but because his depression, anxiety and jealousy won't allow it. And the fact that he keeps seeing his beloved dead wife everywhere doesn't help either.

The holiday season is the worst and Christopher prefers spending it alone. But this year his little daughter is excited to see her grandparents and Christopher is set on making her happy. This year he is set to travel to Michigan for Christmas to visit the family. And he hopes he survives it. Because being the odd one in a normal family is not a very pleasant experience. Being put on treatment because he was still struggling to cope with the loss of his wife, Christopher must gather the courage to brave the concern in his family's faces. Their worry, sadness, and perhaps even pity.

But this Christmas is different because Christopher meets someone special. Someone who might just be the chance he needs to take for a happy ever after. But will his illness and his sorrow allow it? And will she accept him, broken as he is?

Tiffany D. Young gives us here a unique story of love and redemption; of grief and healing in a pretty unconventional way. It turns quite dark at times since it deals with mental illness, but it is also very sweet and uplifting at others.

This tale here is special and I highly recommend it to all those of you in search of a unique great read!

Happy reading Bookdragons
