A huge epic fantasy tale! Well written, in a clear and appealing manner, by an obviously talented writer, this sweeping tale has a lot going on - lots of characters and an interesting plot.

The few main characters are strong and well-built and very nicely drawn-out, with great interaction. The others however, not so much. They feel a bit shallow and due to the fact that there are so many of them, each with an individual POV, the story becomes a little bit too vast and sweeping and the reader eventually looses focus.

It is a good and entertaining story, but it would have made an awesome read with a better structure and a much shorter page count.
