My rating: 5 stinky fun stars

This little tale was this week's pick for my read-aloud class.

And it was a success.



It is a funny and rhyming retelling of Aesop's fable. Perhaps with not quite the same message but very entertaining for the little ones.

Accompanied by cute illustrations, this little tale didn't quite grab the attention of my little troopers straight from the beginning. But they perked up at the Tortoise's choice of food.

And from then on, it was quite a ride. One that left the little ones laughing with tears in the end. And I admit it made even me crack up and smile.

From now on, none of them may look quite the same at chilies. And 'slow and stinky' may be a rhyme they'll keep in mind for the next few days.



If you're looking for a read that's bound to make your child laugh out loud, this would be the perfect fit.
So go ahead and give it a chance!
